Happy New Year 2014!
This is my very first post for 2014 and I do want to make a healthy drink which is very easy to make, healthy and taste really good. For that reason today I will make 2 types of simple tea: lemon honey tea and lemon ginger tea. These teas are very healthy and you can use it every day to boost your immune system, reduce the colds, wrinkles and support your total health.
The main ingredient of tea is lemon with a high amount of vitamin C. Lemon helps to protect your body against immune system deficiencies, reduces colds, de-toxic your body too. In my drinks I used slice of fresh lemon instead of only fresh lemon juice so that my drinks have a light bitter taste. Do you know that lemon peel is very good to your health?
According to the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference in every 100 gram of lemon peel has 134 milligrams of calcium, 160 milligrams of potassium, 129 milligrams of vitamin C and 10,6 milligram of fiber. Lemon peel can improve the bone health with a high amount of calcium, decrease cholesterol level and boots immunity and digestion too. Besides, the lemon peels contain 30% of pectin which helps our body to reduce the cholesterol. In human digestion, pectin binds to cholesterol in the gastrointestinal tract and slow glucose absorption by trapping carbohydrates. That why I keep lemon peels in my drink. At the beginning you might not like the lemon’s peel bitter taste, but you will like it when you get used to it.
Gingerin lemon honey tea can treat the common cold, flu-like symptoms, headaches and aid digestion. You can use this tea for reduce nausea, and reduce muscle pain too.
- Some slice of fresh lemon: You can cut lemon into thin slice. The thinner the lemon is the better flavor the drinks will be.
- 2 gram of fresh pressed ginger
- Honey or salt
First, I will make lemon honey tea:
- I put some slice of lemon into a cup with 2 tsp. of honey. If you don’t want to use honey, you can put about 0,5gram salt into the drink.
- Then pour 150-200 ml fresh boiling water into a cup.
- Wait for 3-5 minutes and now you have very healthy drinks to start a new day.
You can use this tea in every morning to de-toxic your body. Besides, lemon honey tea is very good to your colon health and also serves as a powerful antibacterial.
And now we start to make lemon ginger tea. You can use honey or sugar to sweeten your drink according to your hobby. But you can also make this hot drink with only lemon and ginger.
- Put 2 gram of fresh ginger and some slice of lemon into a cup.
- Put 2 tsp. of honey or sugar if you like sweet drink.
- Pour 150-200 ml of fresh boiling water and wait for 5 minutes.
Honey ginger tea supports your body immune systems, reduces the cold symptoms, flu-like symptoms and cough too. My teas have a bitter taste of lemon’s peels, slight sweet of honey, a lot vitamin C and warm smell of ginger.

Lemon is my favorite fruit and you can find it everywhere in the world, which is not expensive, very good and healthy. You can use lemon in daily life and lemon can improve your total health day by day.
